MediaTek Showcases Next-Generation Imaging Innovations and Expands One MediaTek Vision at Tech Day in New Delhi
MediaTek showcased its latest smartphone imaging innovations, flagship chipsets, and One MediaTek vision at Tech Day Beyond the Lens in New Delhi. The event highlighted AI-powered photography, Dimensity platforms, automotive advancements, AI computing solutions, and the company’s continued leadership in India’s smartphone chipset market.
The event featured demonstrations of advanced imaging technologies powered by MediaTek System-on-Chips (SoCs) for flagship smartphones, showcasing how computational photography, artificial intelligence, and high-performance processing are transforming mobile photography experiences.
Key industry stakeholders, including media representatives, technology analysts, professional photographers, key opinion leaders, and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners from Vivo, Motorola, and Xiaomi, participated in discussions focused on the future of imaging technology. The conversations highlighted MediaTek’s unified One MediaTek strategy, which connects intelligent solutions across the edge-to-cloud ecosystem and demonstrates the company’s expanding technology capabilities.
Speaking at the event, Anuj Sidharth, Director, Marketing and Corporate Communications, India and Southeast Asia, MediaTek, highlighted breakthrough imaging innovations including 18EV HDR Fusion for enhanced dynamic range and 4K120 Super EIS for smooth cinematic video capture. He also discussed MediaTek’s brand progress and continued leadership in high-performance computing solutions across India’s rapidly evolving multi-device ecosystem.
The Beyond the Lens showcase featured dedicated experience zones where visitors explored MediaTek-powered imaging capabilities through flagship devices, including the Vivo X300 Pro powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, the OPPO Find X9s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s, and the Motorola Edge 70 Pro and Xiaomi 17T powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500.

The event also hosted an interactive panel discussion titled “Who Really Takes the Photo?”, moderated by Rajiv Makhni. The discussion brought together Rahul Jhangiani, professional photographer; Anuj Sidharth, Director, Marketing and Corporate Communications, MediaTek India and Southeast Asia; Paigham Danish, Chief Technology Officer, Head of Product and Go-to-Market, Vivo India; Gautam Batra, Associate Director – Product Marketing, Xiaomi India; and Shivam Ranjan, Marketing Director – Asia Pacific, Motorola Mobility.
The panel explored the role of the camera system, imaging hardware, semiconductor technology, and the photographer’s vision in creating exceptional photographs. The speakers highlighted how human creativity, advanced camera sensors, and powerful Image Signal Processor (ISP) capabilities work together to deliver high-quality imaging experiences.
The MediaTek Tech Day also featured discussions on the company’s technology roadmap and latest innovations across multiple segments.
The company showcased its latest flagship and premium chipsets, including the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s, MediaTek Dimensity 9500, and MediaTek Dimensity 8500 SoCs, which deliver advanced capabilities in artificial intelligence, imaging, gaming, connectivity, and power efficiency.
Under its One MediaTek strategy, the company highlighted its expansion beyond smartphones into automotive, data centres, AI PCs, and other computing platforms. The portfolio has been streamlined across categories, with Dimensity for smartphones, Dimensity AX for automotive applications, and Dimensity CX for computing platforms.
MediaTek also highlighted its automotive momentum, with more than 20 partnerships with leading automakers worldwide and over 190 ongoing projects under the Dimensity AX automotive platform.
The company demonstrated its growing focus on AI computing platforms and next-generation computing technologies while discussing its wider roadmap covering smartphones, connectivity, imaging capabilities, artificial intelligence computing, and intelligent edge devices.
MediaTek continues to hold the position of India’s No. 1 smartphone chipset brand, achieving a 49% market share in the second quarter of 2026 and maintaining this leadership position for 24 consecutive quarters.
